Braided ring
thingiverse
This is the most intricate creation that I've ever brought to life. Utilizing (and solely relying on) a 0.4mm orifice nozzle, this braid may prove even easier to craft with an even smaller nozzle. Conceived in a Moment of Inspiration (MoI), where a script penned by user bemfarmer proved invaluable, this intricate design came into being. Initially, I attempted to bring it to life in ABS on a Robox, but the outcome was far less impressive than the result achieved using PETG on a Prusa Original i3 Mk2 with Simplify3D for slicing and support generation. This delicate piece demands extensive support, a raft, and meticulous post-processing. Despite its complexity, it looks remarkably nice... Print Settings: Printer: Prusa Original i3 Mk2 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10% Notes: For Simplify3D users, I deliberately disabled raft layers. Post-Printing: The process involves a great deal of meticulous removal of supports. How I Brought This Into Being: Conceived in Moment of Inspiration (MoI), where a script written by user bemfarmer played a pivotal role.
