The exterior of this submission is divided among six primary sets of scoops. Each set will yield four scoops simultaneously. At any given time, three scoops measuring 58 mm in diameter are in direct contact with the grains. After passing through a slightly-stiff rubber notch, each scoop descends down a shaft. On the opposite side of this shaft lies another rubber notch, where the combined force of gravity will make it extremely unlikely for the grains to spill out of the bucket drum. Following the second notch, all six scoops converge into the main chamber, which then connects to various instruments designed to observe the grains. The overall length of the bucket drum is projected to be 348 mm. To minimize weight while maintaining structural integrity, the bucket drum should be constructed from lightweight metals such as lithium or aluminum, with a target weight of under 5 kg.
