Brackets for Securing Auto-rewinding Spool Holder
prusaprinters

I absolutely love the auto-rewinding spool holders, but the only place I have to put them is on top of my Ikea Lack enclosure, which works great, until you want to open the lid. I designed these brackets to secure the spool holders to the surface. The fit is designed to be extremely secure, but I also tried to keep them minimal enough that if you really desire to pry the spool holders out of the brackets you can do so without unscrewing them.

The f3d file incorporates the source files for the auto-rewinding spool holder generously provided for Vincent Groenhuis (I designed these brackets to fit perfectly by basing the design around the spool holder source). https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/168-universal-auto-rewind-spool-holder-mm

Print instructions

I printed mine out of PLA. I think any material will likely do, but if you do intend to muscle the spool holders out of them post-install then keep that in mind and don't use an overly brittle material.
