Brackets for Acrylic Box Enclosure
thingiverse
These are brackets that I used to build an acrylic box enclosure for my printer. They're made to work with 1/8" * acrylic, which you can find at any hardware store. If you use all of the screw holes (except the bottom eight!), you'll need 72 M3x12mm screws, 72 lock nuts, and 144 washers. I'm not sure if the washers are strictly necessary, but they're available on Ebay in hundred packs for a dollar or two. 1/8" acrylic is actually about 0.10 inches thick. Print Settings Printer: Maker's Tool Works MiniMax Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.6mm, but you could use 0.4mm and be patient Infill: It shouldn't matter much Notes: Use the jig to drill the center holes by placing it over a piece of acrylic, drilling, then putting an M3 screw in each hole to keep it in place while you drill the adjacent acrylic panel. Designing This Was a Long Process My design process was highly iterative, meaning I tried about a dozen very similar ideas and kept rejecting them.
