In the given photo, a red bracket assists in adjusting the Z-axis height on the Mendelmax 3 3D printer. To do this, insert a 3mm capscrew with a nut locked onto its cap head and use a small hex wrench to make micro-adjustments. Interestingly, no drilling or tapping of the center hole was required as the 3mm cap screw fit snugly into the printed hole, eliminating the need for a lock nut.
