Bracket for Pez Tiered Grandstand Shelf Display
thingiverse
I've got an ever-growing Pez collection that I'm proud to showcase on my wall. To display it, I'd been using grandstand-style shelves bought online, but since the company that made them went out of business, I decided to create my own custom displays. The top left shelf in the picture is one I designed and built myself, while the others are store-bought. I took on the challenge of designing and 3D printing tiered shelf brackets, then used 2"x24" pieces of Lexan (also known as plexiglass) for the shelves. For a sturdy hold, I employed three brackets to support the 24" wide shelf, adjusting as necessary to fit each unique application. Pez dispensers are notoriously top-heavy and don't stay standing upright for long, so my initial plan was to string elastic thread through the holes in the brackets and over the plexiglass to keep my Pez collection securely in place. However, there was too much play in the elastic when stretched along the 24" shelves, so I opted for a different solution: attaching Pez Econo Display Rails (available online in 24" lengths) directly to the plexiglass instead.
