Bracket for MRServo model railroad switch machine

thingiverse

A convenient mounting bracket for model railroad switch machines based on Iowa Scaled Engineering MRServo servos (all variants from December 2017 onwards and -2/-3 units before that). It holds both the control board and a 9g servo in one handy mount, with slotted screw holes for easy adjustment. Check out our other products for a bracket designed specifically for MRServo-1 units prior to December 2017 and a "just a 9g servo" bracket. The part was created using Fusion 360 software, but I've also included the original f3d file as well as more open IGS and STP files. For mounting, I recommend using an #8 1/2" lathe screw to attach the bracket to the layout benchwork. My preferred method is to hold the assembled bracket in place where it belongs, mark the screw points, and then pre-drill them. This approach helps ensure accurate positioning of the bracket screws. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: The dimensions for this part are precise, so you'll need to adjust by the thermal expansion factor of your chosen material. For ABS, I recommend scaling up by 2-2.5%.
