Bracket for MRServo-1 Model Railroad Switch Machine

thingiverse

This is a printable bracket designed specifically for the Iowa Scaled Engineering MRServo-1 model railroad servo switch machines. It's engineered to securely hold both control electronics and a standard 9g servo, allowing users to precisely adjust back and forth to achieve the perfect throw distance. The part was originally designed in Fusion 360, but users can also work with the included original f3d files as well as more open IGS and STP files for added flexibility. To ensure accurate mounting, a #8 1/2" lathe screw is recommended. The preferred method of mounting involves holding the assembled bracket in place where it will be situated on the layout benchwork, marking the screw points, and then pre-drilling them. This approach makes it easier to position the bracket screws accurately. Print Settings Notes: The dimensions on this part are exact, so users must scale it up by the correct amount to account for thermal expansion in their print material. Scaling up 2-2.5% is recommended for ABS.
