Scheduled discovery of a prehistoric carved boulder has been made in the Bracken Heads area of Langleydale Common, located southeast of Eggleston in County Durham. This carving is believed to be one of those first identified by Paul Brown in 1996 and is part of a cluster of small panels situated within a cairnfield. The local Historic Environment Record cross-references the stone to either "2" or "3" in Beckensall & Laurie's 1998 publication, 'Prehistoric Rock of County Durham, Swaledale, and Wensleydale'. In 2008, NADRAP added the record "Brackenheads 1" to ERA and described four cups.
