McLAREN SENNA 2019 My tribute to my idol, Nelson Piquet and Jack Brabham, a legendary Australian driver who won two Formula 1 world championships in 1981 and 1983 for BRABHAM. (text by me) Text reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brabham MOTOR RACING DEVELOPMENTS Ltd., known as Brabham, was founded in 1961 by Jack Brabham, a two-time Formula 1 world champion, and Ron Tauranac. Recently, there was a limitation on the 1500cc Formula 1 engine that hurt Brabham, and he didn't win any race with this car. The team's first victory came in 1964, with American Dan Gurney. In 1966, the rule changed to 3000 cc, and Brabham won the championship again, becoming the only champion driving a car built by himself. In 1967, the title came with Denny Hulme. In 1970, Jack Brabham retired. After leaving racing completely, he sold his team to Tauranac and returned to Australia. In 1972, Bernie Ecclestone acquired the team and brought a new engineer, Gordon Murray. In 1981 and 1983, Brazilian Nelson Piquet won his first two world titles by racing for Brabham. Piquet would leave Brabham in 1985, sealing the end of the team's good phase, consolidated with Bernie Ecclestone's withdrawal in 1987. In 1992, Brabham initially ran on Italian Giovanna Amati and Belgian Eric van de Poele. 1996 World Champion Damon Hill began his career at Brabham at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone, replacing Giovanna. The English driver would be able to participate for another race, the Hungarian Grand Prix at Hungaroring, which turned out to be his last appearance at the World Cup and the consequent closing. The new Brabham BT 62 has already been track tested at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia. (Photo: Brabham / Press Release) He was primarily responsible for running Cooper's rear engines, where he won his first two world titles. The position of the thrusters has become standard in major categories around the world to this day. The third championship is best remembered by much of the public for being the only one of a driver with his own team car in history to date, in 1966. Around the team was built Motor Racing Developments, which aimed to sell technology development and car manufacturing know-how to teams of different competitions besides F1, such as F2, F3, F5000, and sport-prototypes, in partnership with the pilot and designer Ron Tauranac. Either way, the BT62 is an exciting new addition that serves as the kickoff for the return of the Brabham name as a technology developer for motoring.
