BQ Hephestos I3 Ramps/Fan Mount
thingiverse
Here are some changes to help improve printing outcomes on a BQ Hephestos Prusa I3: Replacing the RAMPS board holder and fan support with a custom-designed mount should eliminate warping on large prints. BQ has done an excellent job cooling their RAMPS boards, but a slight adjustment was necessary for optimal airflow around my build plate. I've created an alternative mounting system that keeps cold air from escaping towards the heated bed, thereby saving energy and promoting more accurate print results. The fan is positioned to direct cooled air away from the print bed surface when it's operational during long printing sessions, preventing prints from warping at certain times. The settings required for each individual print can vary significantly, so we've provided a comprehensive overview of our default printer setup below: Raft: Not Required Resolution: The highest resolution possible was 0.2 millimeters to get high quality output in every direction. Infill Level: For all our prints the level set to twenty percent, this means more robust internal structure is printed where support material was used. Special note has been included for other people with similar printers like me printing upside down and fans blowing above, but you could try another approach as it really doesn't make much of a difference.
