BQ Aquaris M5 - Lauburu
thingiverse
As soon as I bought a brand new smartphone, I yearned to create my very own custom phone case. So I made the decision to design one featuring the "Lauburu", which is a quintessential emblem from the Basque Country - my homeland. I started by modifying the standard design of an Aquaris M5 and customizing it so that the Lauburu symbol would be printed as a separate solid object, allowing me to use a different material or color for added visual appeal. Print Settings Printer: My trusty JCR 1000 printer was up for the task. Rafts: I didn't bother with rafts, opting instead for a hassle-free print job. Supports: No supports were necessary for this design. Resolution: A resolution of 0.3mm ensured crisp, precise details in my print. Infill: With an infill setting of 30%, my phone case turned out sturdy and reliable. Notes: This design is specifically tailored for printers capable of printing with multiple materials - a feature that really opened up possibilities for creative expression. Post-Printing My dual-extruder printer was temporarily out of commission, so I had to settle for a single-color print. Undeterred, I decided to add some extra flair by hand-painting the design. Despite the initial setback, my custom phone case turned out fantastic and fits perfectly in my new smartphone.
