BPM Box - Arcade Button MIDI Controller

BPM Box - Arcade Button MIDI Controller

thingiverse

I needed a compact controller for my DJ setup that could control BPM on each of the four decks in my software. This required a device with four small buttons at the top, one knob to adjust CC values, and a hole for the power LED. A 24mm arcade button was necessary to function as the shift. The design could be adapted for any button or knob controller, even a guitar FX stomp pedal. To create this project, I scaled up the 24mm arcade buttons from Thingiverse (1400499) by 190% and mounted a small/cheap tactile button inside each one, resulting in a fully functioning midi controller. To complete the project, I recommend using a Teensy 2.0 circuit board (amzn.to/2d05u8O), Sugru Moldable Glue for mounting buttons (amzn.to/2cp0k5E), and a full tutorial on how to wire/code from DjTechTools (http://djtechtools.com/2015/08/25/how-to-make-your-own-diy-midi-controller/). Print Settings: Printer: XYZ DaVinci 1.0 Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Fine Infill: 10% Notes: Use a 5mm brim to prevent warping. Supports will be needed for the enclosure, as there is a slot for the USB plug.
