Boys size 5 Ironman Costume
thingiverse
I put a lot of thought into creating this costume, and I explain the process in more detail on my blog at watersideworkshop.com. When I design a costume, I aim to make it both functional and visually striking, while also ensuring that it's warm enough for my child not to need a jacket when we're finished. To create this Iron Man costume, I printed out all the individual components and sewed them onto a red hoodie that was one size larger than my child. This gave us plenty of room to maneuver and hide any wires, as well as allowing me to layer warm clothing underneath for added warmth. Some of these pieces required heating with a heat gun (a hair dryer works too) to shape them into the desired form. I also quickly airbrushed and hand-painted them using Auto-air paint for a professional finish. It was an enjoyable project that we both loved working on together. Important safety note: this costume may not be suitable for wear in a car or vehicle due to its stiffness, which could cause problems with belts. However, it's designed to allow enough movement to put it on and take it off safely while seated in a car seat.
