thingiverse
BOXMODULE2 is a collaborative art project where simple blocks come together to form a massive sphere measuring 2.77 meters in width. To participate, print the block from the provided .gcode on your preferred 3D printer or have someone print it for you, then sign the side and send it to the address below. Kevin Dunn, the artist, will assemble the blocks throughout October 2017. The completed piece will be showcased soon after, and participants can continue constructing their own spheres. C/O Wilma Daniels Gallery Cape Fear Community College 411 N Front St. Wilmington, NC 28401 A warning: the STL files are not scaled to size, so use the provided g-code to ensure accurate participation. The object will print correctly from the g-code, which is designed for a mono-price mini-select and optimized for 1.75 diameter PLA. If you're slicing your own g-code, make sure the block's wide side measures 60 mm, allowing it to fit with other blocks in the sculpture as seen in the provided picture.
