A CNC control system was required for an open science project, which can be accessed at https://silo4.sciencedata.dk/shared/SPOMAN%20-%20Open%20Science/FlowChemistry Go: GlasFlowReactors, then Electronics. Detailed assembly instructions are available at the above link; in short, an Arduino Uno with a CNC shield is installed into a TEKO CP/2.23 enclosure (RS components # 865-8436). The following steps were taken to assemble the system: 1) A mounting plate for the Arduino Uno was 3D printed. 2) A lid was prepared by printing .PDF templates in 1:1 scale, sticking them to a surface, and drilling out the design. 3) The electronics were mounted in the box, which required some care; see the instructions linked above for more information. 4) GRBL 0.9j was uploaded (GRBL version 1.1 does not work on this system). 5) The GRBL settings were modified to suit the specific application. Refer to the attached .pdf document for a detailed assembly guide. Enjoy!
