Here you will find three files for a Boxford Metric Thread Dial Indicator. The top dial and two gears, 20-tooth and 21-tooth, make up the complete set. Both gears feature a 6x6 square hole designed to fit perfectly onto a 3mm pitch lead screw, which is commonly found on Boxford Metric Lathes. A data plate from a Boxford lathe has been attached, clearly outlining which gear should be used for each thread pitch. For those interested in building their own metric thread dial indicator, a YouTube video is available that demonstrates the construction of the main body and assembly process. Simply search for Enots Engineering, starting with part one (Making a Metric Thread Dial). During my build experience, I've discovered that printing the dial with letters facing upwards, accompanied by support material, yields the best results in displaying the letters clearly. As the loads applied are relatively low, printing these components using PLA is a perfectly suitable option.
