Rev 1.1: The clasps now fit snugly within the container, protruding much less than before. This design tweak has also made it possible to remove the lid without snapping anything in two. Although the vapor treatment on the white box made the clasp slightly too flexible, everything still functions perfectly well. The only drawback is that the lid closes a little too easily. The REV 1.0 files for the clasps remain available if you prefer those. REV 1.0: I'm working to create a reliable latch system that can be used across various applications. I've included the cut-out template with the SketchUp file, which is just the first revision. I'll continue tweaking this design and may come up with several different variations in due course. This box as it stands will work well as a geocache container if you use a small bead of silicone to make it water-tight.
