Box Trim and Cover

Box Trim and Cover

I designed a custom wooden enclosure to house my home theater projector and required a simple way to access the internal cables without disassembling the bottom panel. To achieve this, I installed a trim ring in the recessed area I had cut out earlier. The lid of the enclosure now securely fastens onto the trim ring using powerful neodymium magnets from Harbor Freight (#67488). These versatile magnets can be purchased in packs of 10 for just $2.85. I utilized CA adhesive to firmly bond the finger slot to the lid and the magnets to the trim ring.
