Upcycle Box Straps with this reel! The cog and latch let you tighten the strap to your liking. To release the latch and loosen the strap, simply press the top. These initial prototypes feature 5.5mm and 10mm wide straps. I'll be posting other sizes as I come across different types of straps. For now, check out the 5.5mm version shown in the pictures above. To assemble these parts, you'll need to glue the cog and handle pieces into their respective places. Make sure not to glue the cog to the housing - only attach it to the spindle. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .3mm Infill: 50% Notes: Printed at a relatively low resolution, so try printing with higher resolution for tighter fitting parts. Also, since I used ABS plastic, I accounted for shrinkage in the design.
