Box of Ornaments
thingiverse
Decorate your tree with six stunning glass ornaments housed in a compartmentalized box. Relive childhood memories as you arrange the twinkling lights around this magical creation. Standing tall at the challenge, this Makerbot entry is a tribute to classic holiday decorations. Printing for 16 hours and 42 minutes, this large design requires a clean and level build plate. As an alternative, try my Shimmering Ornament in a Box thing on smaller printers. No supports are needed during printing; however, a raft is essential with translucent plastic. Aim for four shells and a layer height of 0.20mm. Once printed, use a spatula to remove the build and tear off the tabs at the bottom of the box. Twist the ornaments off using needle-nose pliers, hang them on your tree, and store them in the box when the holiday season ends.
