Box for XL4015 4-button Stepdown converter
thingiverse
This is a container designed specifically to hold the Amazon XL4015 4-button step-down converter, available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/XL4015-Digital-DC-Voltage-Regulator/dp/B01MZZZSC6/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_i. Note that numerous modules exist for this step-down converter, and this box is crafted to accommodate the 4-button version exclusively. The container features mounting supports, a removable lid, and cooling slots on all sides, as well as openings left and right for connectors. The lid has been designed for effortless access to the settings buttons, allowing it to be removed if the unit generates excessive heat during operation. Scaling the lid by a couple of percentages either larger or smaller provides the option of a friction fit or a loose-fitting lid. Large areas have been designated on the bottom of the container for attaching double-sided tape, enabling it to be fixed securely to a surface. Print Settings Printer: Geeetech i3 Pro C Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 15% Notes: I've added lifts to the corners under the mounting holes for screw usage, but I recommend utilizing 100% infill if the box is subject to frequent handling and requires enhanced strength. How I Designed This Designed using TinkerCAD at https://www.tinkercad.com. Initial design created with the web-based TinkerCAD and then fine-tuned in Meshmixer (extruding connection holes for better dimensions) and Microsoft 3D Builder for simpler ruler and scaling tools.
