Box for Orange PI Plus 2
thingiverse
PAY ATTENTION!!!!! this is still a work in progress Feb 27, 2016 I finally mounted the box with precision. OrangePI plus 2 board fits perfectly. However, the screw holes are not in their correct position, so I need to be more accurate (I'm referring to a discrepancy of about 0.3-0.5mm). I used: n.4 M3x25mm screws to mount the top cover n.4 wood screws 3.5x20mm (like in the picture with the screw on top of the fan). Maybe also a 3x20mm would work fine. Now I'm thinking about how to power the fan (which is 12V) because my power unit is 5V (the one coming with Orange PI). Maybe I'll use a 12V power unit and add a 5V output using a 7805 or a DC-DC converter. Next step is to check all the free parts in the bottom cover. There is a micro USB port that is hidden, so I need to redesign this part to open it and fill some other areas to fit more ports comfortably. Feb 9, 2016 This is my version of a Orange PI Plus 2 case. On the web I found various cases for Orange Pi, Pi 2, Plus, or PC but none for Plus 2. I found a case on thingiverse by xlogan and redesigned it to cover the board completely. I placed a 60x60 fan on top so the H3winner chip can work fast with no temperature issues. I also placed 4xM3 nuts in the bottom so I can use M3x25mm screws to lock the box. Next upgrade is to add a part for the camera (OPi camera has a short cable, so it's better to integrate it into the case. I'll do it soon). I'll print it to check if everything works fine Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: RosPrusaI3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: I used 1.4mm for external shield and 0.8mm for top/bottom Post-Printing
