I upgraded my laser engraver with a more powerful laser, increasing its wattage from 500mW to 3500mW. The original laser I purchased on eBay came with the following specifications: Model - DIY Desktop Mini Laser Cutting/Engraving Machine; Material - aluminum; Dimensions - 63cm, 68cm, 73cm; Engraving Area - maximum of 65x50cm; Working Voltage - DC 12V; Laser Power - initially 500mW. The Drive Control Board is an Advanced CNC 2-Axis Control Board, and the control software is benbox, which allows for adjustable power levels and weak light positioning. Due to a lack of space in the laser electronic compartment, I designed a custom enclosure using FreeCad.
