Box for "Kiwi" brand Oculus Quest Headphones
thingiverse
I'm excited to share my first design upload to Thingiverse, so bear with me if I've made any mistakes - please leave a comment if you spot anything amiss, and I'll do my best to correct it.\r\n\r\nI've had an Oculus Quest for about a month now, and after some deliberation, I finally decided to invest in specialized headphones for it. I chose the "Kiwi" brand, which has received good reviews (and was more budget-friendly than the official Oculus options), but unfortunately, they arrived in a basic cardboard box, so I designed this enclosure to keep them safe when not in use.\r\n\r\nMy Kiwi headphones had a somewhat rough finish, but it's still acceptable. To get the lid to fit snugly, I needed to lightly sand down the inside of the box, but I've adjusted the design to avoid that extra step (hopefully).\r\n\r\nThe lid requires some supports, but I've also uploaded an alternative version without text and logo, which can be printed with the top side facing down, eliminating the need for internal supports.\r\n\r\nI've included a post-print photo showing how the headphones fit in the box and how the internal pillars hold the spare earpieces.\r\n\r\nIf anyone would like a link to the Kiwi headphones on Amazon UK, just let me know, and I'll share it with you.
