Box for CL1-GSM mobile phone remote relay
thingiverse
This box controls an electric socket via SMS using a GSM remote relay. Never mess with high voltage unless you're certain of what you're doing, as it poses significant dangers such as electrocution or starting a fire. I find printing this design in ABS particularly challenging due to warping issues. To overcome this, I used PLA material with 0.45mm layer thickness and a 0.5mm nozzle diameter. Assembly requires M3 nuts and bolts, while an M6 eye bolt and lock nuts are needed for the hook. A 20x20x2mm plexiglass piece can be used as a window to monitor status LEDs; alternatively, you can print a blind if visibility isn't necessary. Leaving the window open may attract small animals or insects, which could cause fires. A spring-loaded M3 bolt, topped with an M3 nylon spacer, allows for manual switch status changes. The controller is fixed inside the lid for better accessibility; printing the lid with its underside facing outward can simplify the process. Drill holes in the box to accommodate cables leading to the sockets as needed. Adding a 10A fuse for relay protection is highly recommended; a panel-mounted glass fuse hole can be drilled beside the M6 hook on top of the box.
