A storage case for Canon SX700HS cameras that can also accommodate other Canon camera models. The size is reasonably well-defined, so adjusting the dimensions shouldn't be too difficult, but no special effort was made to document this process. A place is provided to store an extra battery. Designed using openSCAD, it utilizes my openSCAD primitives library (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1679551), and I've included the necessary files in this item to ensure that any changes I make won't break it. The code assumes that the library modules are accessible under plib/. The main box has a fillet design, which may take some time to render. The resulting STL is not a manifold but will still slice correctly using Slic3r - due to the complexity of the filleting constructs. When I used NetFabb's model repair service, it also removed certain cavities around the battery holder that I had created to reduce weight. Feel free to use or modify this as needed. Print Settings: Printer: QuBD TwoUp Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: Full Notes: I printed this in ABS using 0.2mm layers and a brim. The model includes supports. Since I wanted the box to be sturdy and waterproof (for outdoor use), I used 100% infill. Post-Printing: Hinges, padding, and gasket: I used thick solid copper wire as an axle for the hinge and also for the closing clasp. Depending on your print quality, you might need to sand the hinges slightly so the box closes properly - or move them out a millimeter or so. I had to drill out the axis hole in the clasp to get the wire through. The padding is provided by car headliner material, but any thin sponge should work. I experienced significant difficulty making a gasket for moderate water resistance and finally used packing material from a recently purchased monitor.
