Box for 35mm slides
thingiverse
A container for holding 35mm slides. I had a large collection of slides without suitable storage and wanted to create boxes of various sizes for storing them, The interior of the base is slightly textured to prevent the slides from slipping.\nSTLs for different sizes are included, and you can use the OpenSCAD script to make other sizes. You need to run it separately for the base and the top. Please download the script and run it locally: the Thingiverse customizer doesn't display the parameters correctly, so I have not enabled customization.\nThe top should fit snugly but not too tightly to the base. I tested this with Cura and a 0.4mm nozzle. It may not work exactly for other nozzle sizes or slicers. Please post a comment if you find it works fine with other settings. You can use the rim_slop and rim_thickness parameters to adjust the fit.\nNote that the number of slides per box is conservative. You can usually fit more in, depending on the exact type of mount and how tightly you are willing to pack them.\nA later note: these files seem to slice well with Cura, but don't print as well with Slic3r.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter:\n Eclips3D\n \n Rafts:\n No\n \n Supports:\n No\n \n Resolution:\n 0.3mm\n \n Infill:\n 30%
