Spinning a Full Spectrum laser cutter's exhaust with two 4" box fans, a quieter alternative was found. A 2HP dust collector was previously used but its loud noise prompted a change. The new setup includes adapters to fit various 4" pipe and vent situations for the fan inline with the laser cutter's outlet. Two box fans, each 140CFM, were installed - one in front of the exterior exhaust vent tube and the other directly out of the laser cutter. This setup effectively moves plenty of air to suck out vapors and smoke. The fan mounting holes are sized for #6-32 but M5 bolts can also be used. Four STL files offer different inner and outer diameters, catering to various 4" pipe problems.
