Box Charkha Spinning Wheel
thingiverse
This is a box charkha to spin cotton fiber. You don't need to print the top and bottom box. You can use a wooden box instead or mount the components to a board. I will add a you tube video link soon to show the hardware used to assemble. You can use crimps on the ends of the hinge pin wire. I didn't have any so I used pieces of a hollow stretch cord. 2 skate bearings (has to fit on a 5/16" bolt) The number on mine is ABEC-9. OD is about 22mm 2 each 5/16 hex head bolts to use as a post for the wheels. These should have a section that has no threads. They will be cut down to fit. 2 each 1/4" bolts, washers and wing nuts for the tensioners 1/16 wire for the hinge pins. small screw for the kick stand small torsion spring 0.8x6.0x8.0 mm (you can scavenge one off of a hair clip or clothes pin. Just has to be small enough to fit on the spindle holder) super glue https://youtu.be/rgG4Tn6HU0g
