Box and divider for Mavic Mini case
thingiverse
The Mavic Mini's storage case boasts an ingenious design, complete with strategically placed wells to hold essential accessories such as spare propellers and battery chargers. However, it falls short by providing only flimsy cardboard inserts to secure these items in place. Recognizing a chance to improve upon the existing design, I took matters into my own hands and created custom dividers and boxes. The divider expertly supports the battery case while leaving ample space below for charging accessories like chargers and card readers to fit comfortably. This thoughtful arrangement ensures that all necessary components are easily accessible when needed. For smaller items such as spare propellers and screwdrivers, I designed a compact box that can be stowed away in one of the wells. Strategically placed finger holes on both the top and sides of the box allow for a secure grip, making it simple to lift the box out of its well and access the contents. The illustration showcases the printed box design. Notably, the finger holes have been carefully designed to overhang by no more than 60 degrees, allowing them to be printed vertically without supports as a single 0.6 mm perimeter. Additionally, the bottom and walls of the drawer are constructed with a consistent thickness of 0.6 mm.
