Bowser

I was having trouble with the original model crashing my slicers due to its complex design. Using Netfabb allowed me to resize and recenter the file, making it easier to print without issues. Additionally, I managed to flatten out his feet so he can be stuck directly to the print bed. The model had a number of self-intersections that caused my slicer to add gaps and create solid surfaces, resulting in him falling apart during printing. After running the file through Netfabb's cloud service, it lost some of its intricate details, but I was unable to find a way to stop it from removing the two outer shells. However, this is not a major concern, as they can be easily added back in. This model requires support structures to prevent warping or sagging during printing. Using fully automated support generation may result in supports being placed between his shell and body, including a gap towards the top just above his arm that spans across. To avoid this, I opted for manual support generation using Simplify 3D, which allowed me to carefully remove these unwanted supports before printing.
