Bowlholder for bathtub faucet, rotatable. V2
thingiverse
My cat really enjoys drinking from the bathtub faucet.\nSo I designed a holder for a small bowl that attaches below the faucet outlet.\nThe reason I opted to hold a small bowl instead of printing one is simple - my cat drinks fresher water that way, without any chance of bacteria accumulating over time, and I don't have to worry about chemicals released from 3D printed materials potentially contaminating the water.\nThe design allows for easy rotation to the side so my cat can easily access the bowl at all times, but it's also versatile enough that I can slide the bowl out of the way when I need to use the faucet without having to disassemble everything.\nRegrettably, I accidentally printed every part without support structures in place, but surprisingly, the finished product turned out great - albeit with one word of caution: at least the large ring should definitely have some supports since it's essentially a big overhanging feature around its entire edge.\nThe clip on the ring clips onto the faucet clip securely, requiring a bit more force than expected, yet it stays in place firmly once it's clipped in.\nTo secure everything together, you need to push the pin into the clip afterwards to ensure the whole assembly is stable and stays in place.\nHere are my recommended print settings:\nRafts: No rafts necessary\nSupports: Definitely include them\nNotes: If possible, the large ring should have supports at minimum; the faucet clip might also require them depending on your printer's capabilities. The pin doesn't need any supports of course, and printing it upright as per the stl file's default setting will produce optimal strength results.\nIt's worth noting that if you rotate it 90 degrees to print it horizontally, the clip may very likely break in two when clipping into place - although my SLS printer is an exception since the orientation doesn't make a difference for resin prints either.
