My cat loves to drink from the bathtub faucet. So I made this thingy, to hold a small bowl in place below the faucet outlet. I wanted to hold a small bowl rather than print a bowl, since I don't want my cat drinking water that's been in prolonged contact with a 3D printed bowl, since it would be impossible to keep clean in the long run, and also I don't know what chemicals could be released from the filament into the water. I made it so that the bowl can be easily rotated to the side, partly to allow my cat easier access to the bowl, but also to be able to slide the bowl out of the way when I need the faucet, without having to unmount the whole thing :-) I accidently printed everything without support, but it turned out quite good anyway - but I recommend support - at least for the big ring, since it's basicially one big overhang all along the edge. The clip on the ring snaps into the faucet clip - not very easily, it needs alittle force, but it's rather stable once it's in. After clipping the two main parts together, the pin must be pushed into the clip, to make sure it stays in place. It also increases the stability of the whole "hinge" assembly. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Notes: At least the ring should be printed with supports. Depending on your printers capabilities, the faucet clip might be printable without supports. The pin doesn't need any supports. For optimal strength, the faucet clip should be printed upright, as it's positioned in the stl file by default. While you could rotate it 90 degrees so it's orintated horizontally, the clip would most likely crack and snap in two, when clipping it in place on the faucet (my first prototype did...). Unless of course you print with an SLS printer or resin, then the orientation doesn't matter :-)
