I made this design to air-dry bowls that won't dry out when stacked. These lightweight plastic bowls measure approximately 2 inches by 6 inches and are called "Nordic Ware Microwave Safe Picnic Bowls". They usually come in a set of 2 and can be found at stores like Walmart and Sears. With some minor modifications, this basic design could easily adapt to bowls of different profiles and sizes. However, for glass or ceramic bowls, it would need to be thicker, stronger, and possibly wider. I had previously posted similar plate-stand projects on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:688210 However, I hesitated to create a design specifically for bowls because I thought they might be more difficult to figure out. But in the end, it wasn't that hard at all. The file is saved in SAE (inches) units. If your software thinks it's a tiny 2 x 4 mm object, simply scale it up by a factor of 25.4.
