The Crocus spring, scientifically known as Crocus vernus, belongs to the Iridaceae family of perennial herbaceous plants. Native to Europe, this bulbous plant reaches a height of 15 cm and blooms in April. Its flattened corms are covered with mesh scales and are replaced annually. The stem does not develop, while its dark green leaves with silvery-white stripes are linear and surrounded by a filmy sheath at the base. This plant features bell-shaped funnel flowers with a long tube, 2-3 times longer than the bending segments, which can be lilac or white and sometimes striped. The outer parts of the perianth are larger than the inner ones, up to 3.5 cm in length, and the flower's yoke is pubescent with lemon-yellow anthers.
