Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan, Khaibullinsky District, is home to a significant archaeological discovery from 2007. The excavations unearthed a necropolis known as Perevolochan-1, featuring numerous kurgans, or burial mounds. Specifically, kurgan number 12 yielded an impressive find: the burial site number 5 contained a decorative wooden bowl with a horizontal handle. An image of a predator, possibly a leopard, was intricately depicted on this artifact in gold. This discovery dates back to the end of the 4th century BC, firmly placing it within the Early Sarmatian culture's timeline.
