Here's a model of a floorstanding speaker from Bowers and Wilkins, the CM 8 in Rosenut finish. I created it using 3ds Max 2008 and V-ray 2.0. This model is built to scale, using millimeters as the units of measurement. The gamma setting used is 2.2, with V-Ray materials and textures applied throughout. I excluded lights and cameras, as well as scene setup, from the file itself. Exported file formats aside from 3ds Max include base mesh and smoothed versions. Preview images were rendered using 3DS Max and V-Ray. The model comprises twenty-two separate objects, and features a total of forty million four hundred seventeen thousand six hundred sixty polygons with TurboSmooth off. With TurboSmooth turned on, there are one hundred eighty-six thousand fourteen polygons in all, the result of two iterations through the TurboSmooth process. I applied nine thousand two hundred textures to this model. File size - twenty-five megabytes for each of thirty-six fifty-one point seven one two seven three sixty one pixel textures. Resolution sizes - one kilobyte, sixteen bits, grayscale images with resolution - fifty-eight and twenty-nine seventy four million, thirty six, one seven four dot eleven eight; five sixty four by four ninety two hundred sixteen, twelve by ten seven eight nine four two seven; three fifty two thousand square and seventeen thousand forty three respectively.
