Bowden Y adapter for dual filament printing
thingiverse
This adapter supports dual filament printing with a single hot end for Bowden printers, allowing users to connect two cold-end extruders directly to the hot end. I'm currently testing it in an experimental setup on my home-built delta printer to see if I can achieve reliable dual-filament prints. The adapter is specifically designed to work seamlessly with M6 push-fit connectors and 1.75mm PLA filament. To build it, simply print out two copies of the necessary parts and then securely bolt them together. Next, screw the M6 connectors into their respective sockets, tapping them firmly as you go to ensure a snug fit. Please note that this adapter is still in its experimental stages, and I'm actively working to resolve firmware and retraction jamming issues specific to my setup. As with any DIY project, getting it up and running on your printer will ultimately depend on your own configuration and troubleshooting efforts.
