Bowden tube guard for Prusa frame edge
myminifactory
This guard slides snugly into place on the top edge of the Prusa's metal frame, to protect Bowden tubing from being damaged by sliding back and forth across the sharp edge. For even more protection, apply a layer of masking or electrical tape on top of the guard to smooth out the surface. You can also sand it smooth if you wish. The length fits within the brackets for my light bar kit, and can easily be scaled up or down depending on your print setup. Solidworks file is included in this model in a ZIP file; you can use OnShape's free version to edit as needed. 3D printing recommendations: Print in PETG or another plastic that sands smooth easilyPrint with the flat top side against the print bed and the channel facing upwardPosition diagonally to fit on the MK3S print bed, or chop into segments and print in piecesSupports not necessaryA brim may help with adhesion issues If you like my work and want to support me, please check out my online store, become a patron, or buy me a coffee.
