bowden system based on wades (rostock delta and regular versions)
thingiverse
A 6mm bowden extrusion system based on Wades design is featured here, with no hard-to-find components. Despite not yet testing it, the setup appears promising. The extruder, derived from a Thingiverse model (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18379), has been combined with Jonas Kuehling's extruder for GRRF hotends, modified for bowden use and 0.4mm layer height. The extruder gears are combined into a single file. Place the bowden adapter in the extruder instead of a hotend; push the bowden tube through everything until beneath the hobbed bolt. Secure the bowden adapter with two M3 x 30 screws. The hotend side includes two parts due to disliking ABS and wanting to avoid a fan next to the hotend when printing PLA. The white PLA material has a softening temperature of 90°C but lacks high tensile strength, necessitating a bowden clamp. Connect the bowden clamp to the hotend mount with two M3 x 25mm screws, then attach the hotend to the holder using two M3 x 25mm screws. If using PTFE tube, drill 6mm into the PEEK holder for smooth passage through the brass nozzle. Secure the bowden tube with two or four M3 x 20mm screws and mount everything onto the carriage with four M4 x 15mm screws. Use washers and nuts for all screws, while a SKP file is also provided for customization to different hotends. This setup is now available for non-Delta printers, like Prusa.
