I attached a customized clip to my printer's bowden tube push fittings to keep them from releasing during a print process, inspired by others who have faced similar issues. I couldn't identify this problem on my machine directly but several online reports confirm its occurrence. I will test whether it solves the stringing problem after retraction. Intended for a specific type of push fitting that takes 4mm OD PTFE tubing (typically used with 1.75mm filament). I printed a pair and attached them securely onto the fully-extended locking sleeve on the push fittings.
