This simple 4mm ptfe bowden cutting jig prints horizontally with no supports, the gap is just right for a regular box cutter (such as this one). Provides a true 90° cut with a tight blade fit.

Print at 0.1mm layer height if possible, standard 20-25% infill, PLA. Test piece printed with 0.4mm nozzle and the aforementioned settings. Keep in mind your printer must be properly calibrated, otherwise you'll have to modify the length of the model at slicing time to make sure your blade fits tight (as-is should fit tight on a standard blade) and also the width/height as your hole won't print at the right size.

Sliced in CURA I let the seam settings by default, printed without supports but it does require to touch up the internal hole with a 4 to 4.25mm drill bit (or a 4mm reamer) for a tight fit. The internal design uses a 4.1mm hole.

You can choose to print with supports if your printer won't produce a clean hole. If you were to change the printing orientation the blade slot would not print properly but you can give it a try.

Ideal for the casual bowden touch up or new installation.

Be careful when handling box cutters!
