Bowden (PTFE) Couplers
thingiverse
This is a series of simple printable Bowden couplers. I prefer using these in place of conventional press fit metal versions because they offer greater flexibility and ease of use. The M10 x 1 mm screw version fits perfectly at the end of a E3D extruder, while another version features an "E3D" extruder type bobbin that can be used at the cold (motor drive) end. A photo shows a Titan Clone with this fitting in place. One significant advantage of these units is that they securely clamp tubing and are relatively easy to remove, causing little or no damage to the PTFE tubing. To ensure the main hole takes the PTFE tubing, you'll need a 4.1 mm drill bit. There are two nuts - the smaller round one is ideal for most applications and can hold the tubing firmly when tightened by hand. The larger nut version requires a spanner but be cautious not to damage the fingers on the main part. The M10*M1.5 version has a coarser thread that may be stronger, and there's a spacer that enables this to be used as a "Back to Back" coupling.
