Bowden PTFE clamp

Bowden PTFE clamp

Bowden type extruders are fantastic, but one major drawback is the use of push fit clamps for the PTFE tube. If there's any play in the tube-to-fitting connection, you'll encounter endless issues with stringing and other problems due to lost retract movement and built-in free play. My design is straightforward to print, but the part was created in Tinkercad, making it fairly basic in terms of design. Unfortunately, this results in some post-print clean-up needed to deal with overhangs that drop. Adding supports would only add another layer of complexity – something else to remove. The three parts aren't evenly divided (my mistake), but they work well together. The lip at one end keeps the clamp collar extended while the body of the clamp also grips the PTFE, preventing inward and outward slip that causes retract loss. Please let me know if you encounter any issues other than those mentioned above, and give a thumbs-up if it works for you. Happy printing!
