A Bowden attachment, designed as an add-on for any Prusa Mendel's existing extruder and x-carriage, consists of a top mounting piece and a hotend attachement. The former fits onto threaded rods while the latter accommodates various Prusa x-carriages. PTFE tubes with 2mm ID/4mm OD from seemecnc.com are recommended. Before testing extensively, create an STL file based on your hotend dimensions, print the top mounting piece in your preferred material, and the hotend attachement in ABS due to heat exposure. Post-printing, remove support materials, insert M4 nuts and bowden tubes accordingly. Test extrusion and evaluate performance.
