I'm attempting to create a bowden mount for my E3D V6 hotend. This attempt remains untested and likely contains many bugs since it's my first effort at creating a complex design. Printing this version would be a poor decision; I strongly advise against it. 1/5/2015 - I printed the v1 with no issues encountered, observed that the hotend can be moved approximately 7mm closer to the mounting plate and updated the design accordingly. I haven't test fitted the extruder yet, and I'll do so before printing this version. v1.1 is attached, along with a CAD screenshot and a photo of v1 after printing. 1/5/2015 Part Deux - I've uploaded 1.2, which has been greatly lightened to reduce weight. The original source file was unusually dense, unnecessarily so in my opinion. I test fitted the hot end; the E3D V6 fits extremely tightly and M3 bolts lock it firmly into place. It requires having the hotend raised by 22mm; 1.3 will address this, and I'll print and mount that along with my extruder once the latter is ready. ...I got carried away with the design process and implemented this change; therefore, you will see 1.3 attached. It's been elevated by more than 22mm to clear the mounting bolts; I'll monitor its performance and adjust if necessary. 1/12/2015 - I've printed the latest version and it appears promising thus far. However, things have not yet reached a stage where they can be tested thoroughly due to an absence of free time resulting from automobile difficulties triggered by extreme cold (EV problems for those in developed nations). Credit goes to the original designer for their work on the printrbot bowden model which served as a foundation for this endeavour.
