Bowden Extruder Chassis

Bowden Extruder Chassis

I've recently upgraded my Anet A8 to a full bowden extruder setup. During this process I tried out a lot of chassis for the new configuration, but nothing quite fit the needs of my machine. So I made one of my own! It's designed to use the E3D all metal hotend and contains a bracket for the SN04 Auto Leveling probe as well. A built in end-stop for an X-Axis chain is also designed into the chassis and a custom attachment part to fit a 40mm cooling fan for the hotend. The last custom component is a semi-circle elongated fan duct that securely attaches to the frame with two screws and doesn't overlap with the bed leveling sensor like other mounts I tried out. My Skynet settings are... Start by using the config file "A8- 5buttonkeypad- autolevel- stock anet sensor" and change these settings for the Auto Leveling probe position. define X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -20 define Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 10 define Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -1 define X_MAX_POS 240 define X_MIN_POS -20 define Y_MAX_POS 220 define Y_MIN_POS -10 define Z_MAX_POS 240 define Z_MIN_POS 0 define LEFT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 20 define RIGHT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 210 define BACK_PROBE_BED_POSITION 220 define FRONT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 30 It's a custom design for my Anet A8, so it should work for you as well if you have a similar machine. But like I learned while making this mount, nothing is guaranteed! So play around with it and I hope you enjoy it.
