Based on Leafguy's Bowden Mount Design for 3up, this e3D v6 mount secures the heat sink with precision pressure. This solution may also be effective on other printers where you need to replace a NEMA17 direct drive. September 19th, 2015: Added Fan Duct Instructions Simply print both the top and bottom sections. My version used 30% 3D-Honeycomb infill from Slic3r and it seems sturdy enough so far. To apply pressure, use 30mm M3 bolts with hex nuts. As my NEMA17 steppers are held in place by M3 fasteners. If you require larger holes or other sizes at various points, edit the SCAD file or request that I add a parameter for this modification. I've incorporated a parameter to oversize the mount fittings due to some materials' tendency to expand and leave smaller gaps than anticipated. My personal e3D v6 Bowden mount uses option 2. For printing Fan Duct, it seems optimal to print with the fan mount on the bottom and a chimney rising up at a 45° angle. This design is meant for mounting on the right-hand side when viewed from the front, but you can easily mirror it using your host software or Slic3r to facilitate left-hand installation.
