A Simple Fix for Your Printer That Makes It Work Better This easy-to-mount fix makes your printer more reliable, increases the lifetime of your bowden coupler and PTFE tube, improves retraction, and works with all machines that have a Creality extruder system. Why I Designed This Bowden Coupler Fix I was frustrated with my Ender3's failing Bowden pneumatic couplers. They had to be replaced often, and some of my projects failed because the couplers wore out or ground into the PTFE tube. It got worse when the extruder did a lot of retractions. Since these couplers aren't designed for 3D printing applications, I created this stress release that takes the force from the extruder off the coupler by holding directly onto the PTFE tube. Print Instructions I've made two versions: one for the dual gear extruder and one for the stock/metal extruder. Both use the same print settings, and the nut fits on both. Quality Make sure to print with a 0.16 layer height or better because the tread needs to be good quality to screw the nut on. Also, ensure your E-steps are calibrated. Print Orientation Print the tread facing upwards so the tread will be in good quality. Infill Use four walls and at least 50% infill. Support Yes. Material I recommend using PETG or ABS but PLA works too. Parts Bowden Tube Fix Dual Gear Extruder STL Bowden Tube Fix Extruder STL Nut STL Screws 2x M3X20 screws
