Bowden and non-bowden extruder for Maker Select III v2
thingiverse
This DIY extruder replaces the original hot end without requiring a separate purchase. Like many similar alternatives, it necessitates a bearing and a nut accompanied by a bolt. A 1/4-inch aluminum tube for the final few inches leading into the hot end is also recommended. To ensure accuracy, print out the extruder's specifications beforehand to take with you to the hardware store. Additionally, be prepared to reduce the height from 180mm down to approximately 152mm for clearance purposes, as this will provide a safe margin of error - a lesson learned from personal experience when placing it in a confined space.
